Ratchets are an ideal hand tool for tightening nuts and bolts with minimal arc movement. The knurled steel ratchet is easy to operate. One end of the ratchet snaps into one end of a socket with the square-drive connector. The other end of the socket fits over a fastener. A mechanism in the ratchet allows the handle to engage and tighten the fastener when you swing the ratchet clockwise and turn freely when it is swung counterclockwise.
The scaffold ratchet is primarily used on scaffolding but can also be used for other construction applications. Wright Tools scaffold ratchet is a convenient 2 in 1 tool that features a 7/8" open-end wrench on one end and an interchangeable soft face hammer on the other end. The hammer can be used to strike a surface to loosen build-up and fasteners.
