The Simpson Strong-Tie HUS hanger is a heavy capacity joist hanger that utilizes double shear nailing for added strength. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of standard nails for all connections. The Strong-Tie HUS26 face mount joist hanger features a G90 galvanized finish for corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.

Installation:

• Use all specified fasteners.
• HU/HUC—Can be installed filling round holes only, or filling round and triangle holes for maximum values.
• Joists sloped up to 1/4:12 achieve load tables.
• HU/HUC hangers can be welded to a steel member. Allowable loads are the lesser of the values in the hanger tables or the weld capacity - refer to technical bulletin T-HUHUC-W.

 NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
