Specifications
Simpson Strong-Tie MSTA straps are load rated and provide the correct thickness and number of fasteners the specifier is looking for compared with field fabricated straps. Install Strap Ties where top or bottom plates are cut, at wall intersections, and as ridge ties. Reduce the allowable load based on the size and quantity of fasteners used. The Strong-Tie MSTA36Z strap tie features a G185 ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
Installation:
- Use all specified fasteners.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
