Description:

The Simpson Strong-Tie Finish Trim screws are versatile high performing fasteners that will complete a variety of projects quicker and stronger than ever. They are ideal for installing trim, molding, and other DIY home improvement projects. The finish trim screw features a low-profile cylinder head that provides a clean, concealed appearance. The pattened SawTooth® point makes driving simple and eliminates the need for predrilling. Additionally, the underhead threads provide superior countersinking and increased pull-through resistance. Simpson's finish trim screws are applicable for both indoor and outdoor use, including use with preservative-treated wood.

It's hard to get excited about screws.....

…but these are worth getting excited over. Being self-tapping, no need for pilot holes, and I didn’t split even one board in the cedar planter I built. Even within a quarter inch of the edge of the board. They drive very quickly, hold super strong, and countersink with ease. Shipping is a bit pricey however, making them about 20 cents each, but worth it in my opinion.
