Simpson Strong-Tie CB Column bases are a sturdy cast-in place anchor that are designed for heavy duty column loads. The Strong-Tie CB810PC features a standard Black Powder Coating for added corrosion resistance and added aesthetics. Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
Installation:
- Use all specified fasteners.
- For full loads, minimum side cover required is 3" for CB, 2" for LCB.
- Install all models with bottom of base plate flush with concrete.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
