The patent-pending Simpson DGHT™ is a load-tested fire wall hanger with a two-hour fire rating and ideal for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction. The first of its kind, DGHT fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer which helps keep construction projects on schedule by saving time before hanging drywall. This top-flange hanger provides space for two layers of 5/8" gypsum board (drywall) to be slipped into place after the framing is complete. The DGHT is fire rated for use on both sides of the wall and has been tested according to ASTM E814. This heavier gauge hanger is available in standard, skewed or concealed options.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

• Code listed and loads tested for 1-1/2 in. and 2-1/2 in. power-driven or hand-installed nails.
• Two-hour Fire-Resistant rating Intertek Design No. SST/WPCF 120-01, fire rating applies to 2x4 or thicker walls.
• Innovative top-flange design for back-to-back installation on 2x6 (min.) walls.
• Allows space for two layers of 5/8-in. drywall after framing.

• Use all specified fasteners; I-joists require web stiffeners.
• DGHT is mounted similar to a standard top-flange hanger.
• Wall-plate splices must occur at a stud location.
• DGHT welded to steel header with (4) 1 1/2" fillet welds and (6) joist nails achieves a download of 2,700 lb. Face flanges require full backing.
