Description:

The Strong-Tie DJT14Z Deck Joist Tie is designed to attach 2x deck joists to the side of 4x or larger support posts. It comes packaged in a lightweight carton (about 40 lbs) for easy handling. The DJT14Z can be installed with either nails or bolts.


Installation:
  • Use all specified fasteners.
  • Recommended: install on post first.
  • Minimum 2x4 joist and 4x4 post.

NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

A Very Helpful Connector

This specific connector is very strong and holds heavy joists to posts exceptionally well. This is my first experience using these connectors and I’m glad I decided to include them for my deck framing.
