Introduction

Clickstop, Inc., the parent company of Fasteners Plus, is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit or make a purchase on www.fastenersplus.com (the "Site").

By using the Site, placing an order, using our live chat feature, or otherwise providing personal information to us, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information We Collect and Why

We collect the following categories of personal information for the purposes described below:

Identifiers

Name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, company name, IP address, and account login credentials.

Purposes: Process and fulfill your orders, manage your account, provide customer service (including via live chat, phone, and email), send order confirmations and shipping updates, and comply with legal obligations.

Commercial Information

Order history, products viewed, items in your cart, wishlists, and purchase amounts.

Purposes: Fulfill orders, process returns and exchanges, recommend products, and improve our catalog.

Internet and Network Activity

Pages visited, clickstream data, referring website, number of visits, date and time of visits, browser type, operating system, and email client.

Purposes: Analyze site performance, diagnose technical issues, improve your shopping experience, and deliver relevant advertising.

Geolocation Data

City, state, zip code, country, and time zone (derived from your IP address).

Purposes: Calculate shipping rates, display regionally relevant content, and comply with applicable laws.

Financial Information

Credit card number, billing address, and payment method details. Payment information is processed by our third-party payment processors and is not stored by us in its complete form.

Purposes: Process and authorize payment for your orders.

Communications

Live chat transcripts, emails, phone call records, and any information you voluntarily provide when contacting us.

Purposes: Respond to your inquiries, maintain a record of our interactions, resolve disputes, and improve our customer service.

Live Chat

When you use the live chat feature on the Site, we and our chat technology provider, Amazon Web Services, Inc. ("Amazon Connect"), collect, record, and store the content of your chat session along with related information such as your name, email address, IP address, browser type, the pages you visited, and any other information you choose to share during the chat.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry, process your order, improve our products and services, train our customer service team, and maintain a record of our communications with you.

Amazon Connect processes chat data as a service provider acting solely on our instructions and under the AWS Data Processing Addendum. Amazon Connect is not permitted to use, sell, or disclose your information for its own purposes.

By initiating or continuing a chat session, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, recording, and storage of the communication as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to have your chat recorded, please do not use the chat feature. You may reach us by phone or email instead using the contact information at the bottom of this page.

Chat transcripts are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide customer service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

We share personal information with the following categories of service providers. They process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for any other purpose:

• Payment processors: to authorize and process credit card and other payment transactions.
• Shipping and fulfillment providers: to ship, deliver, and track your orders.
• E-commerce platform: Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes orders.
• Contact center and live chat: Amazon Connect (Amazon Web Services, Inc.) receives and processes customer chat inquiries on our behalf.
• Customer relationship management (CRM) and email/SMS: to manage customer communications, service history, marketing preferences, and opt-outs.

We also allow certain advertising and analytics partners to collect information about your activity on the Site through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, as described in the next section. Some of these partners may use that information for their own purposes, such as improving their advertising services, consistent with their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose personal information:

• when required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; or
• when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixel tags, scripts, and similar technologies, both our own and those of third parties. These technologies can collect information such as:

• your IP address
• device and browser information
• cookie and advertising identifiers
• pages you view and links you click
• products you view or add to your cart
• referring websites
• whether you complete a purchase

When you place an order, certain advertising partners may receive your email address, phone number, or address in a hashed (encoded) form so they can measure whether their ads led to a purchase.

We use these technologies to operate the Site, measure and improve its performance, understand how visitors use it, and deliver and measure advertising on our Site and on other websites and platforms.

Behavioral Analytics and Session Technology

We use Microsoft Clarity, a third-party tool that records how visitors interact with pages on the Site. That includes mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and the pages viewed. We use this information to find usability problems and improve the shopping experience.

We configure this tool to mask the text you type into form fields, along with other on-page text, so that it is not recorded. Payment information is entered on a separate checkout page that this tool does not record. 

Your Choices About Cookies and Tracking

• Cookie banner. Visitors from regions that require consent before non-essential cookies are used will see a cookie banner. In those regions, analytics and advertising technologies are not used unless you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time.
• Do Not Sell or Share / Targeted Advertising opt-out. Wherever you live, you may opt out at any time by visiting Your Privacy Choices at www.fastenersplus.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. When you opt out, the advertising technologies described above stop receiving information about your activity in that browser. If you are logged in or provide your email, we will also apply your opt-out to your customer account.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser.
• Other tools. You can also:
  • block or delete cookies through your browser settings
  • opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.networkadvertising.org and optout.aboutads.info

Opting out does not remove all advertising. The ads you see may simply be less relevant to you.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, allowing the advertising partners listed above to collect information about your activity on the Site, in order to show you advertising on other websites and platforms, may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising," under certain state privacy laws.

In the past 12 months, we have made available the following categories of personal information to advertising partners for these purposes:

• identifiers: IP address, cookie and advertising IDs, and, at purchase, hashed email address and phone number
• commercial information: products viewed, added to cart, and purchased
• internet and network activity

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect our users' information. All pages on this website that collect personal information are secured and transmitted using a high level of encryption. You can verify our security certificate status by looking for the lock icon displayed in your browser's address bar. In addition, our site address displays "https:" indicating a secure server connection is in use. Fasteners Plus is committed to protecting your sensitive information.

SMS Terms and Privacy Policy

When you opt in to receive text messages from Fasteners Plus, you may receive automated marketing and transactional text messages (SMS/MMS) sent to the mobile number you provided. These messages may include promotional offers, cart reminders, order updates, shipping notifications, delivery alerts, and customer service communications.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting "STOP" to any text message you receive from us. After you send "STOP," we will send you a confirmation message. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up again as you did the first time or text "JOIN" to start receiving messages again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. If you have questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

We may share SMS-related information (including phone numbers and messaging activity) with trusted service providers who help deliver and manage our messaging programs. These providers are permitted to use this information only to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect your information.

Your Privacy Rights

We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
• Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide you a different level or quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

We will respond to verified requests within 45 days of receipt. If we need additional time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you in writing. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request by confirming information we already have on file, such as your email address or order number.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf. We may require written authorization or a valid power of attorney before processing a request submitted by an agent.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Third-Party Websites

There may be links on Fasteners Plus that will take you away from pages maintained by Clickstop, Inc. We cannot be responsible for the content, security, or collection of information by these third parties.
