ABA, ABU, ABW - Adjustable and Standoff Post Bases. This series of Simpson adjustable post base accommodates different loads and code compliances for different regions of the country. They are available for nominal and rough cut lumber, and each adjustable post base has a 1” standoff to prevent the post from being damaged by standing water. Every ABA, ABW and ABU post base includes a slot in the base that allows for flexible positioning around the anchor bolt (not included), which allows for easier and more precise placement of the post.

Simpson Strong-Tie Post Bases are available in different finishes appropriate for your particular regional climate, choose from ZMAX®, powder-coat finish or hot dip galvanized (HDG) for exterior applications, and stainless steel (SS) for harsh and corrosive environments.

NOTE: Simpson Post Bases do not come with the associated nails, Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws or bolts that are necessary for installation. Please see the Product Guide Document for each product that specifies the associated fasteners.
