Joist Hangers
I-Joist & Structural Composite Lumber Hangers

Collection:I-Joist & Structural Composite Lumber Hangers

I-Joist and Structural Composite Lumber Hangers are used to mount I-Joists to wall plates for flooring and roofing applications. Fasteners Plus offers a wide variety of joist hangers to accommodate specific construction applications and lumber types.

    • BA - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. The BA hanger is a cost-effective hanger targeted at high-capacity I-joists and common Structural Composite Lumber applications.

    • IUS - I-Joist Hangers. The IUS is a hybrid hanger that incorporates the advantages of the face mount and top mount hanger. Installation is fast with the Strong-Grip™ seat, easy-to-reach face nails and self-jigging locator tabs.

    • LSSJ/LSSR - Rafter Hangers. This series of hangers offers a convenient solution to install rafters. They are slopeable/skewable rafter hangers that can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Left and ride side options are available.

    • MIU - I-Joist Hangers. The MIU series hangers are designed for commercial and high load I-joist applications without requiring web stiffeners. The MIU features Positive Angle Nailing (PAN), which minimizes splitting of the flanges while permitting time-saving nailing from a better angle.

    • U/HU - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. The standard U hanger provides flexibility of joist to header installation. HU models have triangle and round holes. To achieve maximum loads, fill both round and triangle holes with common nails.

    • HUS/HHUS/HGUS - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. All hangers in this series have double shear nailing. This patented innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of common nails for all connections.

    • HUC/HUCQ - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. HUC models have triangle and round holes. To achieve maximum loads, fill both round and triangle holes with common nails. HUCQ-Features concealed flanges so it can be installed close to the end of the supporting beam or on a post.

    • HB - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. The newly improved HB hangers offer wide versatility for I-joists and structural composite lumber.

    • ITS - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. The innovative ITS sets the standard for engineered wood top flange hangers. The ITS installs faster and uses fewer nails than any other EWP top-flange hanger. The new Strong-Grip™ seat and Funnel Flange™ features allow standard joist installation without requiring joist nails, resulting in the lowest installed cost.

    • MIT/HIT - I-Joist and SCL Hangers. PAN is specifically designed for I-joists when used with the MIT or HIT. With PAN, the nail hole material is not removed, but is formed to channel and confine the path of the nail at approximately 45°. PAN minimizes splitting of the flanges while permitting time-saving nailing from a better angle.

    • HGLT/HGLTV - Heavy Duty I-Joist and SCL Hangers. HGLT and HGLTV hangers are designed for structural composite lumber header applications that require high loads. The top flange nails are sized and specifically located to prevent degradation of the header due to splitting of laminations.

    • VPA – Variable Pitch Connectors. VPA connectors are a versatile solution for attaching rafters to the top plate. They eliminate the need for notched rafter beveled top plates and toe nailing.

    • DU/DHU - Face Mount Drywall Hangers. DU and DHU drywall hangers are face-mount hangers that carry joist floor loads to a wood stud wall over two layers of 5/8” gypsum board (drywall).

    • DHUTF - Top Flange Drywall Hangers. DHUTF hangers are top flange hangers that carry joist floor loads to a wood stud wall over two layers of 5/8” gypsum board (drywall).

    • SUR/SUL/HSUR/HSUL - Skewed 45 Degree Hangers. The SUR/L and HSUR/L series are 45° skewed hangers designed specifically to ease the installation of single and double I-joists.

    • DGT/DGHT – Top-Flange Fire Wall Hangers. These fire wall hangers are easily installed on a two-hour wood stud fire wall during framing and feature enough space for two layers of 5/8” gypsum board (drywall). They are intended to be put into place after the framing is complete.

    • EG/LEG/MEG/EGQ – Top Flange Connectors. This series of custom high-capacity connectors support large members typically found in glulam beam construction. They can be sloped or skewed up to 45°.

    • MSC - Multiple-Seat Top-Flange Connectors.  The MSC supports the ridge and two valleys for roof construction making it ideal for dormer roof applications. These connectors can be used for two valley connections with no ridge member. The valley stirrups can be sloped down to 45° and skewed from 25° to 45°.

    • HCA – Hinge Connectors.  HCA connectors are designed to transfer loads between two beams aligned end-to-end through a combination of bearing plates, side plates and bolts.

    • HCP - Hip Corner Plates. The HCP hip corner plate connects a rafter or joist to double top plates at a 45° angle.

    • HSKP - Heavy Seated Knife Plate Hangers. The HSKP preserves the look of mass timber beams while meeting high-demand loads.
