Simpson CBSQ46 Column Base, Quick-Install - G90 Galvanized

The Simpson CBSQ46 Column Base, Quick-Install - G90 Galvanized enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this column base is designed to connect columns or posts to concrete foundations and distribute the structure's stresses to the foundation.

These connectors are cast-in-place or wet-set in concrete and feautre a 1" standoff to meet code requirements for structural posts installed in basements or outdoors.

This product is intended for use with 4x6 posts or columns but is also available in a wide range of other sizes and both nominal and rough-cut lumber.

•1" standoff of the CBSQ meets code requirements for structural posts installed in basements or exposed to weather or water splash
•Included fasteners provide faster installation than bolts
•SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws that provide a greater wood net section area than bolts

•Use all specified fasteners; see General Notes.
•Install 1/4" x 2" Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws, which are provided with the column base. (Lag screws will not achieve the same load.)
•Install CBSQ with bottom of standoff flush to top of concrete
•Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
