Simpson PB Standard Post Bases are the time-tested solution for post base connections. Made from 12 gauge steel and designed to be set in wet concrete, the Simpson Strong-Tie PB Post Base is available in standard galvanized or patented ZMAX galvanized (denoted with a "Z" at the end of the part number) for greater corrosion resistance.

Simpson PBS Standoff Post Bases provide a strong connection between the column or post and the concrete (wet-set application), and feature a code-required 1" standoff, which keeps the post off the ground to help reduce early decay and damage. The Simpson Strong-Tie PBS Standoff Post Base is made from 12 gauge steel, and is available in standard galvanized or Simpson's patented ZMAX galvanization (denoted with a "Z" at the end of the part number), which offers higher levels of corrosion resistance - perfect for outdoor applications.
