A companion piece to CCQ Column Caps, ECCQ Column Caps are designed to attach the beam to the column while maintaining a flush fit against an exterior wall. The Q in the item name indicates that this hardware comes in a package with all the necessary fasteners included. This design uses Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws to provide faster installation and provides a greater net section area of the column compared to bolts. The SDS screws provide for a lower profile compared to standard through bolts.
