With its unique paddle-style drill point, it penetrates dense wood with ease and virtually eliminates splitting, often without the need for predrilling. This makes it ideal for outdoor projects built with Ipe, which is one of the hardest, most durable woods in the world, valued for its natural resistance to rot, insects, and fire.
For a clean, professional finish, the screw features wings on the shank that counterbore hardwood, allowing the compact head to sink flush for reduced visibility.
