Grade 70 chain is commonly referred to as transport chain, tie down chain, binder chain, or trucker’s chain. This high-strength chain is manufactured from heat-treated, low-alloy carbon steel, making it a dependable choice for cargo securement and transport applications.
Most often used for securing loads on trailers, Grade 70 chain is also suitable for towing, logging, safety, and oil field applications. It features a standard link design and is easily recognized by its gold or yellow chromate finish - the industry standard color for this grade. Each link is clearly marked for quick and accurate identification.
All Grade 70 chain offered is heat-treated and tested for strength to ensure consistent performance and durability. These products meet or exceed NACM and ASTM specifications. Grade 70 chain is designed strictly for tie down use and should never be used for overhead lifting.
