Specifications
The Simpson Strong-Tie® SD Connector Screw is the only screw specifically engineered and approved to replace nails in designated Simpson Strong-Tie® connectors. Whether you're framing, installing hangers, or working in tight spaces where a hammer isn’t ideal, this screw delivers superior holding power, speed, and code-compliant performance.
The SD9 and SD10 screws replace 10d and 16d nails respectively, providing stronger single-fastener load capacities than the nails they replace. Each screw features a 1/4" hex head with an integrated washer stamped for easy post-installation inspection. The heat-treated shank is precision-sized to match connector holes, ensuring a tight, secure fit every time.
Finished with a corrosion-resistant galvanized coating, the SD Connector Screw is suitable for both interior jobs and most exterior environments.
