Specifications
EcoFoil Double Bubble Foil Insulation is engineered for use in pole barns, metal buildings, basements, crawl spaces, and storage areas that experience wider temperature swings. This insulation combines a reflective radiant barrier with two layers of polyethylene bubbles, forming an internal air gap that limits temperature transfer between surfaces. The double-bubble design helps reduce frost and condensation in cold climates, while the thin, lightweight construction (approximately 1/4" thick) installs quickly with basic tools.
Radiant Heat Control for Pole Barns & Metal Structures
Double Bubble Foil Insulation reflects 94% of radiant heat, helping maintain more stable indoor temperatures throughout the year. Radiant barriers function differently than traditional insulation—they reflect heat instead of absorbing it—making them an effective companion to fiberglass or spray foam when enhanced energy performance is needed. When installed with an air gap, the reflective qualities work year-round to reduce heat gain in summer and limit heat loss in winter.
Moisture Protection & Vapor Barrier Performance
When all seams and joints are sealed with reflective tape, the insulation forms a continuous vapor barrier that helps block moisture movement. This added protection is essential for preventing mold, corrosion, and material degradation in high-humidity or unconditioned spaces. Note that Double Bubble Foil Insulation is not intended for under-slab applications; for concrete or radiant floor systems, use EcoFoil Under Slab Insulation.
