The Simpson Strong-Tie HDQ Holdown is a high-capacity structural holdown designed to anchor wood shearwalls and posts to concrete foundations. It transfers uplift and overturning forces from wood framing into the foundation, helping protect structures in high-wind and seismic conditions.
Built for high uplift resistance, the HDQ series delivers strong lateral load support in a more compact profile than traditional holdowns. The pre-installed SDS structural screws simplify installation while providing a secure, code-compliant connection to wood studs or posts.
Featuring a compact heavy design, this structural connector provides maximum load performance without increasing wall width. Available in multiple finish options, the HDQ holdown can be selected based on required load capacity and environmental exposure.
