Van Beest Green Pin® P-6033 Wide Body Sling Shackles are built for heavy-duty lifting and rigging applications where wider slings and improved load distribution are required. Manufactured in Europe and made to meet or exceed industry standards, these premium wide body shackles are designed to deliver dependable performance, enhanced sling support, and long service life in demanding environments.
The wide bow design provides increased bearing surface area for wire rope slings, synthetic slings, and lifting straps. This helps improve usable sling strength while reducing wear compared to standard shackle styles. Because of the extra room in the bow, these sling shackles can accommodate larger and heavier-duty slings without the need for a thimble, making them a practical choice for many lifting and securement setups.
Green Pin® P-6033 shackles feature an alloy steel bow and pin manufactured from Grade 8 quenched and tempered steel for strength and durability. Each shackle is marked with the steel grade and a traceability code for added quality assurance and identification. The bow is finished in silver paint, while the pin is finished in Green Pin’s signature green for easy recognition on the jobsite.

Why Choose a Wide Body Sling Shackle?
Wide body sling shackles are ideal when standard bow shackles or chain shackles do not provide enough room for larger sling eyes or straps. Their larger bow profile supports wider sling connections and helps distribute the load more effectively across the sling surface. For lifting applications that require a smaller bow, a standard bow shackle may be a better fit. For applications requiring the narrowest loop possible, chain shackles are typically recommended.
Bolt Type for Secure Connections
The P-6033 is a bolt type sling shackle, making it a strong choice for heavy-duty securement and lifting applications where the connection will remain in place for an extended period. Bolt type shackles are commonly used when a more permanent or long-term connection is needed, or where load movement on the pin could create unsafe rotation. This style is also known as a safety bolt shackle because of the added security provided by the bolt, nut, and cotter pin combination.
