The bright steel finish is lubricated with an A-1 petroleum-based coating that helps reduce internal friction while providing basic moisture and corrosion resistance. Compared to 6x37 wire rope, the 6x19 class offers improved abrasion resistance while maintaining the flexibility needed for many common wire rope applications.
