Description

Constructed from type 316 stainless steel, this shoulder eye bolt provides exceptional resistance to corrosion and oxidation, especially in harsh or marine conditions. Its durable, low-maintenance finish with a polished appearance makes it ideal for architectural uses. The eye is designed to fit wire rope, shackles, and various rigging hardware. The shoulder design supports both straight and angled loads, enhancing safety and reliability. This set includes the eye bolt, nut, and washer.

Please Note: Loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt's rated capacity. A 75 degree angle reduces the working load limit by 45%; a 60 degree angle reduces it by 65%; a 45 degree angle reduces it by 75%. Never load at an angle less than 45 degrees from the bolt center line.

⚠️Warning: Eye Bolts

Never exceed the maximum working load limit / load capacity. Doing so can result in product failure leading to injury or death.

When loading at angles, rated capacity is drastically reduced (for example, at 45 degrees, it's reduced to 1/4 of the original value).

The angle from the bolt centerline should never be greater than 45 degrees.

Always apply loads in the plane of the eye.

Ensure proper seating for shoulder lifting eyes before use, otherwise the working load limit will be reduced. If it does not bear firmly against the mating part, a steel washer or spacer may be required.

Thank you!

Great quality product and special shipping
My dock contractor said they weren’t available and wanted to use galvanized steel
Bad idea

Great idea

I make clamps for wood carvers to hold their project while they are working on it. The problem is that the eye bolts I was using when tightened up on a heavy project would open the eye up and straighten out under pressure.
These Stainless Steel eyes are made with closed eyes that do not open!
Great idea guys!

Was happy to find this....

Ah, the power of the internet. If I had to drive to a local brick & mortar store for this, I'd still be looking. Was trying to find this item in brass, to replace a 60+ year old piece that broke. No luck, so I was happy to at least have found it in stainless steel. Rather pricey at $20, plus another $11 to ship it. But I was a desperate buyer, so I paid the ransom. Would have appreciated the website telling me what the thread (13) was.
