Domestic 1/2" x 20' Grade 70 Tie Down Chain
Grade 70 chain—also known as transport chain—is the most widely used option for cargo securement. With 20% more strength than Grade 43, it delivers the durability needed for stabilizing large loads and is a trusted choice for heavy-duty tie down jobs.
This chain is proudly made in the USA by Columbus McKinnon, a leader in load securement products.
Made in the USA Transport Chain Construction
Manufactured from high-strength carbon steel, this chain is heat-treated and proof-tested for reliable performance. A yellow zinc chromate finish provides corrosion resistance, conforms to ASTM B633 Type II standards, and makes the chain easy to identify as Grade 70.
The forged carbon steel clevis hooks feature a non-cradle design that fits through flatbed trailer rub rails for fast, secure connections. A shallow throat allows quick attachment to chain, while the cotter pin makes replacing damaged hooks simple.
Note: Grade 70 chain is not approved for overhead lifting.
G70 Truck Tie Down Chain Industry Compliance
This chain is DOT compliant and meets or exceeds FMCSA CFR49 Section 393.104 and NACM Welded Steel Chain Specifications. Hooks are embossed with both size and grade, and each chain link is grade-marked for easy identification and stress-free inspections.
