Description:

Sealtite Maxx Steelbinder screws are self-drilling pole barn screws designed to attach metal roof and sidewall panels on pre-engineered metal buildings. Coated screws feature a tough 2.5 mils of powder coating that will not chalk or fade due to the UV inhibitor in all colored coatings. #12 Diameter 5/16" Cupped HWH self-drilling fastener easily penetrates steel up to .210" in thickness with no "point walking". The cupped head encapsulates the EPDM rubber washer to provide a secure seal even when driven at an angle.

Self Drilling Fail

At least 50% of theses screws failed to self drill into the steel studs on my metal carport. Ended up having to pre-drill holes making the job take twice as long. Would Not purchase again. Found a local source that cost about the same after figuring in the shipping cost from Fasteners+. The screws from the local source only had a handfull of screws out of the 250 that failed.
