2-5/16" Stainless Steel Bolt-On D-Ring with Mounting Bracket – 6,000 lb Break Strength
The 2-5/16" Stainless Steel Bolt-On D-Ring is built for marine, coastal, and high-moisture environments where corrosion resistance is a must. Made from Type 316 stainless steel, it offers exceptional durability and a 6,000 lb break strength, making it a reliable anchor point for trailers, boats, or outdoor installations.
Key Features of This Stainless Steel D-Ring
-
6,000 lb Break Strength – Suitable for medium-duty tie-down jobs involving equipment, vehicles, or cargo
-
316 Stainless Steel Construction – Superior corrosion resistance for marine, saltwater, or long-term outdoor exposure
-
Folding Ring Design – The D-ring folds flat when not in use to reduce obstruction
-
Polished Ring / Unpolished Clip – Designed for performance and visual contrast
-
Pre-Drilled Mounting Bracket – Two holes for fast and easy bolt-on installation
-
Wide Compatibility – Works with double J-hook ratchet straps and other tie-down systems
When to Choose Stainless Over Galvanized
For marine applications, docks, boat trailers, or any environment with frequent exposure to saltwater, stainless steel is the preferred material. Galvanized D-rings work well in general outdoor use, but they can corrode faster than stainless in harsh coastal conditions.
Installation Guidelines
Bolt-on D-rings are only as strong as their mounting hardware. For maximum strength, bolt all the way through the mounting surface using washers and locking nuts. Check the bolt hole diameter to confirm hardware compatibility. Our team recommends using threadlocker or locknuts to prevent loosening. Mounting hardware not included.
Note: Not rated for overhead lifting. Break strength is dependent on proper installation.
⚠️Warning: Tie Down Hardware
Read and follow all provided instructions, guidelines, and maintenance recommendations before use.
Never exceed the maximum load capacity.
Inspect before each use for signs of deformation, corrosion, and wear, such as cuts or fraying on tie down straps or ropes. If damaged, discard and replace.
When installing, make sure that the tie down hardware is securely attached to a stable surface using appropriate hardware. For complex installations or applications requiring structural integrity, work with a qualified professional to ensure safety.
Only use tie down hardware that is appropriately-rated for the weight and size of your load.
Be careful when handling tie down hardware to prevent strains or injuries. For heavy or awkward loads, seek assistance.
Protect tie downs from potential hazards, such as sharp edges or abrasive surfaces that may damage tie down straps or ropes.
Store in a dry, clean, and dark location with regulated temperatures to extend product longevity.
Keep children and pets away from tie down hardware while being installed / in use.
