2" x 27' Ratchet Strap Tie Down
The 2-inch ratchet strap is a trusted staple in the transportation industry. Made from rugged polyester webbing, it’s strong yet soft enough to protect your cargo. The ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to achieve a tight, secure hold without relying solely on operator strength. These straps are versatile, bridging the gap between lightweight 1" straps and heavy-duty 4" straps. Polyester webbing delivers superior strength with minimal stretch, plus UV and water resistance. Unlike cam straps, ratchet straps allow you to apply the precise amount of tension needed.
Quality-Focused Ratchet Strap Construction
Our 2" tie down straps include a longer fixed end than most standard options, positioning the ratchet further from the anchor point for improved access. A built-in sewn loop next to the ratchet provides storage for excess webbing—simply wrap it up and tuck it into the loop for a cleaner, safer setup.
Industrial-Grade Webbing
The webbing is manufactured with slightly thicker yarn and more picks per inch than most competitors. Each strap end is heat-sealed to resist fraying. Together, these features improve resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, extending the lifespan of the strap.
Corrosion-Resistant Ratchet
The zinc-coated ratchet features a long, wide handle and a smooth grip, making strap tensioning easier and more comfortable.
Grab Hook End Hardware
The clevis grab hook is made from heat-treated steel with a zinc-plated finish for added weather resistance. Its shallow throat design allows for fast, secure connections and easy detachment when needed.
Compliant with Industry Standards
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.

Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
