24" Anodized Aluminum L-Track
Bolt down a 24" run of anodized aluminum L-track and you have a permanent row of anchor points you can reposition at will. Also sold as airline track or logistic track, the rail mounts once and then lets you move the tie-down wherever the load actually sits, instead of forcing every load to match a fixed D-ring.
The low, narrow section takes up less room than E-track, so it fits along bed rails, wheel wells, and trailer wall studs where a wider rail simply will not go. Riders anchor motorcycles and ATVs to it; crews use it for compact equipment, gang boxes, and loose material.
What the Anodizing Buys You
The extrusion is 6061-T6 aluminum, which is light and corrosion resistant on its own. Anodizing goes further: the finish is grown into the surface of the metal rather than sprayed onto it, so there is no coating to chip or peel back from an edge. What you get is a harder face that shrugs off scuffs from loading and unloading, plus better tolerance for sun, road spray, and repeated washdowns than bare aluminum.
Mounting
Mounting holes are pre-drilled on 5" centers, 6 in this piece, sized for 1/4", 6mm, or #12 hardware. A through-bolt with a nut and washer - plus a dab of thread locker - is the most dependable joint. Lag screws or self-drillers into wood or sheet metal will hold, but do not expect bolted-joint strength from them.
Hardware is sold separately - the 1-1/2" bolt, nut, and washer pack is the usual pairing.
If the length or hole spacing does not suit your layout, the rail cuts cleanly with a carbide-tipped blade in a hacksaw or chop saw, and you can add holes with a carbide countersink bit. Read the welding note below before you take any heat to it.
Do Not Weld It As-Is
Leave the anodizing on and this rail will not weld properly. The finish behaves as an insulator and contaminates the puddle, which leaves a weak and unpredictable joint. If your install genuinely calls for a weld, grind the anodizing off the weld zone and a margin around it first and weld to bare aluminum.
How Much Will It Hold?
We do not publish a single working load limit for the rail, because an installed track is only as strong as the fasteners you picked and the structure you anchored into. The extrusion is made to be at least as strong as the fittings and straps we sell to go with it, which puts the responsibility on the install. If you are unsure what your floor or wall will take, ask your trailer or vehicle manufacturer, and read WSTDA T-5, section 3.4.

Finish the System
Track on its own does not secure anything. Pair it with single- or double-stud L-track fittings, L-track straps that clip straight into the slots, or a cargo net for loose gear. Pre-built L-track kits and our full L-track system selection are the fastest way to spec a complete setup. Fittings also accept any standard S-hook strap you already own. Not sure how to lay it out? Give us a call.
Please note: this track is intended for cargo securement and recreational use. It is not certified for wheelchair occupant restraint in buses, vans, or other passenger transport vehicles.

Anodized for a Finish That Lasts
Built from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum, this anodized L Track offers outstanding strength and corrosion resistance. Unlike paint, the anodized finish is embedded into the metal, creating a more durable, scratch-resistant surface that won’t chip or peel.

Trim It. Drill It. Make It Yours.
If the standard length or hole spacing doesn’t fit your application, you can modify it to suit your needs. Simply trim it to size using a hacksaw or a chop saw with a carbide-tipped blade, and add mounting holes with a carbide-tipped countersink bit. Just be sure to keep hole spacing at 5" intervals to maintain proper strength and performance.
