Our Type 316 Stainless Steel Screw Pin Chain Shackles are designed for durability and corrosion resistance in harsh environments. Manufactured to RR-C-271D, Type IV B, Class 2 Federal Specifications, these chain shackles are ideal for straight-line tensioning in marine, industrial, or outdoor applications.
These shackles are sized based on the diameter of the bow (not the pin) and feature a straight-sided D-shape optimized for inline loads. Their compact form allows for a direct load path, reducing the potential for sling rotation or misalignment-especially important in chain-to-hardware connections.
For multi-directional load scenarios, consider switching to our Stainless Steel Screw Pin Anchor Shackles, which are designed to accommodate angular pulls. Please note: stainless steel shackles are not always rated for overhead lifting. If your application requires overhead use, contact our sales team for assistance selecting properly rated hardware.
