Description

Domestic 3/8" 6x19 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

This USA-made 3/8" bright wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6x26 construction with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC). Designed to provide a dependable combination of strength, abrasion resistance, and flexibility, it is an excellent choice for lifting, hoisting, winching, suspension, and structural rigging applications.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

USA-Made Wire Rope for Hoisting, Rigging & Winch Applications

The 6x19 class is widely recognized for delivering greater abrasion resistance than a 6x37 wire rope while maintaining the flexibility required for general-purpose lifting and rigging work. The bright steel finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant to reduce internal friction and provide basic moisture protection, helping extend service life in demanding environments. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, this rope is built for reliable performance on the job site.

6x19 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope. Its tensile strength is approximately 10% greater than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and overall performance.

The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands and approximately 15-26 wires within each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x26, providing an ideal balance of durability, flexibility, and abrasion resistance.
