3" Tie Down Strap with Flat Hook
These 3" ratchet straps deliver heavy-duty strength without the bulk of a 4" strap, making them easier to handle while still offering the same working load limit. The low-stretch polyester webbing is tough enough for commercial use yet soft enough to help protect your cargo. With the ratcheting mechanism, you can quickly apply the right amount of tension for a secure hold—something cam straps just can’t match.
Durable Webbing You Can Trust
Each strap is woven with slightly thicker yarn and more picks per inch than many competitors, and the ends are heat-sealed to resist fraying. This design improves resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, so these straps stand up to repeated use on the road.
Flat Hook and Ratchet Construction
The flat hook fittings feature a black powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance. The ratchet assembly is zinc-plated and built with a long, wide handle that’s easy to grip, helping you tighten your load quickly and securely.
Why Choose Flat Hook Hardware?
Flat hooks provide a wide contact surface to distribute force evenly across your tie down point, making them a dependable choice for most loads. Each hook includes a built-in defender that protects the webbing from wear and extends the strap’s lifespan. If you’re working without railings or your anchor points are limited, a different hardware style may be a better fit.
Compliant with Industry Standards
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
