4" Heavy Duty Tie Down Strap with Chain Extension
These 4" heavy duty ratchet straps are built to handle serious cargo securement. The polyester webbing is tough enough for the heaviest jobs yet soft enough to help protect your load. With very little stretch and excellent UV and moisture resistance, these straps provide dependable strength on every haul. The ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to dial in the perfect amount of tension—something cam straps simply can’t match.
HD Ratchet Strap Features
The webbing is woven with slightly thicker yarn and more picks per inch than many competitors, and each strap end is heat-sealed to prevent fraying. Together, these details provide better resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting, giving these straps a longer service life even under demanding use.
The ratchet assembly and chain extensions are finished with a protective zinc coating to guard against corrosion and weather exposure.
Why Choose 3/8" Chain Extension Hardware?
Chain extensions give you the strength of Grade 70 transport chain combined with the flexibility of polyester webbing. This design lets you secure loads using rub rails or stake pockets without putting stress on the strap itself. Each 18" chain extension includes a 4" D-ring and a clevis grab hook for fast, secure connections. This setup not only protects your straps but also ensures you can take full advantage of your stake pocket’s working load limit.

Ratchet Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
