Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 7/8" bright wire rope delivers exceptional flexibility and fatigue resistance for demanding lifting, rigging, and suspension applications. Featuring a 6x36 construction and Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it provides excellent strength, crush resistance, and durability in applications where repeated bending and movement are common.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.
High-Flex Steel Cable for Hoisting, Winching & Suspension Systems
The 6x36 construction is engineered to withstand repeated bending cycles, making it more flexible and fatigue-resistant than comparable 6x19 wire rope. While sacrificing some abrasion resistance, it excels in dynamic applications where smooth operation and long service life are critical. The bright finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that reduces internal friction and provides basic protection against moisture and wear. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, this wire rope delivers dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope. Its tensile strength is approximately 10% greater than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved breaking strength and load-carrying performance.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope: six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36, which falls within the 6x37 classification and delivers the flexibility and fatigue resistance expected from this class of rope.
