Simpson BC6 6x Post Cap - G90 Galvanized

The Simpson BC6 6x Post Cap - G90 Galvanized enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. These connectors are designed to facilitate the secure connection of beams to posts, ensuring robust and reliable support.

Crafted from durable 18-gauge steel, this post cap features opposing flanges to provide both uplift and lateral resitance while it attians its full allowable load using either common nail or pneumatic nail sizes.

This product is intended for use with 6x posts but is also available in other sizes, including 4x, 4x6, 6x, and 8x for both nominal and rough-cut lumber.

-Do not install bolts into pilot holes
-BC: install with 16d commons or 16dx2 1/2" joist hanger nails.
-Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
-To tie multiple 2x members together, the Designer must determine the fasteners required to join members to act as one unit without splitting the wood.
