The Simpson CC77 Column Cap - Gray Paint enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this column cap is designed to provide column-to-beam connections in wood construction.
The seat of the column cap features additional surface area beyond each side of the column to allow added area of bearing to distribute the load from the beam and provide enhanced support for the connection.
This product is intended for use with 7x posts or columns but is also available in a wide range of other sizes and both nominal and rough-cut lumber.

-Use all specified fasteners.
-Bolt holes shall be a minimum of 1/32" to a maximum of 1/16" larger than the bolt diameter (per 2005 NDS, section 11.1.2).
-Contact engineered wood manufacturers for connections that are not through the wide face.
