The Simpson Strong-Tie® MPSC™ Series is a next-generation column connector specifically engineered for point-supported post-and-plate mass timber buildings. Designed to streamline construction and eliminate floor beam clutter, the MPSC connection supports mass timber floor panels while transferring large axial loads from above.
Its innovative two-part design consists of a top and bottom connector that fasten with a single bolt, minimizing crane time and simplifying alignment. With five load-rated sizes from 100 to 300 kips, this system scales to meet a wide range of structural demands.
Each model includes top connection, bottom connection, tie plate, and zinc-plated bolt, nut, and washer assembly. Shim plates are sold separately in packs of 20 plates. Screws are sold separately.

Installation Highlights:
- Use all specified Strong-Drive® SDCF Timber-CF and SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws
- Ensure level column cuts for full bearing
- Install tie plate before setting upper column
- Attach rigging to bolt holes and place upper column over HSS standoff
- Insert through-bolt and tighten snugly to connect
