Manufactured in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 5/16" bright wire rope is designed for applications requiring exceptional flexibility and long service life. Built in the 6x37 class with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it delivers excellent fatigue resistance, crush resistance, and dependable strength for lifting, hoisting, suspension systems, winch lines, and other dynamic rigging applications.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes. These color variations do not affect assembly break strength or overall performance.
Flexible Wire Cable for Winches, Lifting & Dynamic Rigging Applications
The 6x37 class is engineered for repeated bending and movement, offering significantly greater flexibility and fatigue resistance than comparable 6x19 wire rope constructions. Its bright steel finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that reduces internal friction and helps protect against moisture exposure. Designed to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, this wire rope provides the strength and reliability professionals depend on for demanding lifting and rigging operations.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and enhanced performance under load.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands with approximately 27-49 wires within each strand. Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.
Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.
Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
