Description

24′ × 28′ Heavy-Duty Lumber Tarp - 8′ Drop & Flap - 18 oz PVC - Black

When full flatbed coverage and extended drop height are critical, this 24′ × 28′ black lumber tarp delivers. With 8′ side drops and a 12″ rain flap, it’s engineered to protect tall or stacked cargo from road spray, wind, rain, and UV exposure. Constructed from rugged 18 oz PVC-coated polyester, this tarp is trusted by professionals for its strength and long-term durability.

Engineered for Full-Size Flatbed Loads

This heavy-duty tarp features 93 welded 2″ D-rings arranged in three rows for tie-down flexibility, along with 58 oversized grommets to accommodate odd-shaped or oversized loads. Each D-ring is backed by an abrasion-resistant pad to prevent wear from straps and hooks. The tarp’s seams are heat-sealed, and reinforced 2″ webbing is stitched along the perimeter to prevent fraying under stress. Cold crack rated to -40°F and UV-protected (Grade 6-7), it’s made to perform in all conditions.

Key Features

  • Oversized Dimensions: 24′ wide × 28′ long with 8′ drops and a 12″ rain flap for corner sealing and full coverage.
  • 18 oz PVC-Coated Polyester: 20 mil tarp body resists tearing, mildew, water, and harsh environmental exposure.
  • Cold Crack Resistance: Remains flexible and easy to handle down to -40°F (-40°C).
  • UV Pass-Through Rating: Grade 6-7 protection guards against sun damage and extends material life.
  • Three Rows of Welded D-Rings: 93 total 2″ D-rings, heat-sealed and sewn on with abrasion-resistant pads underneath.
  • Heavy-Duty Grommets: 58 oversized grommets allow for secure strapping, including two-strap configurations.
  • Reinforced Edges: 2″ polyester webbing stitched around the perimeter protects high-tension areas and prevents fraying.
  • Optimized for Full Loads: Ideal for trailers up to 53′ when used in pairs, offering extra length over standard 27′ tarps.

I'm very satisfied with my new tarp!
If it lasts as long as my last one,
( purchased in 1997 ). I will be extremely happy. The improvements made, such as, larger D-rings were not expected but greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mark, [****]

King of the Tarp World!

We just broke open these bad boys that weighed more than our load (lol) and they are everything and more than they claim. Had to use both over an uneven load which meant some interesting securement! You might want the fork lift guy ( if possible) lift them up top, but they roll out beautifully! So far they've gone through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming's monster winds and they almost seem to challenge the winter weather as there has been no damage whatsoever. If you can handle the weight, these are the kings of tarps!

Heavy tarp

I haven't had a chance yet to put the tarp to use but I can tell you it's definitely a HEAVY tarp .It does seem to be a pretty quality tarp .

The tarps are way too heavy. Did not realize heavy duty mean heavy as well. Did not look at the weight before purchasing.
