At the narrow end of the wide-body eye sling lines, this Type 8 continuous eye wide sling, also called a wide continuous eye sling or continuous eye nylon sling, offers some of the highest working load limits available in a nylon web sling, plus a wide body for extra load stability and protection for fragile surfaces. At this width, 2-ply construction steps up the capacity available at this width.

- Constructed by joining the long edges of an endless sling, so the eyes are a continuous part of the sling rather than an attachment, for extra strength
- Tapered loops accommodate crane and hoist hooks easily
- Basket hitch use only; also called a continuous lifting strap or continuous nylon sling
- Sling is made in the USA to industry standards from heavy-duty, 9,800 lbs. per inch industrial grade webbing
- a sewn-in leather tag lists the working load limit for each hitch type
- Width is measured across the short side of the sling, not eye to eye
- Sling length is measured from the load-bearing point of one eye to the load-bearing point of the other, including the eyes

Please note:
For Type 8 continuous eye wide slings, the listed width refers to the width of the sling body across the short side, not the distance from eye to eye. Sling length is measured with the sling laid flat, from one end to the other, including both eyes.
Sling Proof Testing Certificates
Proof testing certificates are available for a nominal fee and must be requested at the time of your order. For certified proof testing, each sling is individually tested at the factory to twice its rated vertical rating, and the results are formally documented for compliance purposes. Under normal production procedures, only select slings are tested as part of routine quality checks. Because of this, every sling requiring a proof test certificate must be tested individually during manufacturing.
