The Simpson CCQ4.62-5.50HDG Column Cap w/SDS Screws - Hot Dip Galvanized enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this column cap is designed to provide column-to-beam connections in wood construction.
The seat of the column cap features additional surface area beyond each side of the column to allow added area of bearing to distribute the load from the beam and provide enhanced support for the connection.
This product is intended for use with 5-1/2x posts or columns but is also available in a wide range of other sizes and both nominal and rough-cut lumber. Included with this column cap are the necessary Simpson Strong-Drive SDS screws to provide fast installation and lower profile than standard bolts.
