Simpson Strong-Tie HTSM Heavy Twist Straps for Masonry provide high-strength truss-to-masonry connections for roof framing applications. Designed to resist both uplift and lateral forces, these masonry twist straps are load rated for installation on grout-filled concrete masonry units and concrete. The HTSM series does not need to be wrapped over the truss to achieve allowable loads, helping simplify installation while maintaining dependable structural performance.

Installation
Install the HTSM strap using all specified fasteners according to Simpson Strong-Tie requirements. HTSM straps install with hex-head Titen Turbo concrete and masonry screws and should be installed so the Titen Turbo screws are not exposed to the exterior environment. The minimum edge distance for Titen Turbo screws is 1-1/2". Always follow Simpson Strong-Tie load tables, fastener schedules, and installation requirements for the selected HTSM model.
