Open & Open Swage Socket Slings

Wire rope needs a proper termination to do useful work in structural support or industrial lifting, and that termination usually takes the form of an eye, a clip, or a socket. This sling uses a swage socket on both ends, giving you an open pin connection at each end of the assembly.

What "Open" Means Here

An open socket carries a pin or bolt, which lets it attach directly to another fitting or to a hook block for a crane lift. With open sockets on both ends, this sling gives you that same connection flexibility on either side of the assembly.

Why a Swage Socket Holds Up

The swage socket gets its name from how it's applied: a swager, a hydraulic machine, presses the socket onto the wire rope under force. That process strengthens exactly the spot that tends to be the weak point on other terminations, where the socket and wire actually meet, giving you a more durable sling and a safer lift overall.

Sizing Your Sling

These slings are available in lengths up to 20 feet, measured from center pin to center pin, and across a range of diameters, so you can dial in the working load limit your project needs.
