Crosby Web Sling Shackles
Crosby Web Sling Shackles are designed for safer, more efficient connections between synthetic web slings, round slings, eye bolts, lifting lugs, and pad eyes. Their squared shape and enlarged bow radius provide a broader sling-bearing surface, helping distribute the load more evenly across the sling and connection point.
Compared to standard chain bows, anchor bows, and traditional eye hooks, the wider bow surface can improve sling efficiency by at least 15%. Important Compatibility Note
Crosby S-281 Sling Saver Shackles should only be used with Type 3 Class 7 2-ply web slings. For webbing that is 3 inches wide or larger, a tapered eye is required. Always verify sling and hardware compatibility before use.
