HWDC Head-of-Wall Drift-Clip Connectors are used to secure the head of a wall to the bottom of a slab or beam. This connector allows anchor screws to be installed closer to the bend. This provides a stronger, stiffer connection and allows horizontal and vertical moment during seismic and high wind events. Simpson HWDC connectors add strength to window or door jambs at the head of wall connections. The tested load values are provided for anchorage to steel and concrete.
