Domestic Sliding Choker Wire Rope Slings

Domestic sliding choker wire rope slings are made with quality Crosby® hardware and designed for lifting applications that require an adjustable choker hitch. A sliding hook moves between the sling eyes so the operator can position the hitch securely around the load.

The sling eye that connects to the hook includes a protective thimble to help reduce abrasion and extend service life. Latched hook configurations may also be available by special order.

Choosing the Right Sling

Select the wire rope diameter based on the required capacity, then choose the sling length that fits your application.

How to Measure Sling Length

Measure from the load-bearing point of one eye to the load-bearing point of the opposite eye or end fitting. Use this reach measurement when selecting the correct sling length.

Proof Testing & Identification

  • Proof Testing: Proof-test certificates are available for a nominal fee when requested at the time of order. Each certified sling is pull tested to 2x its vertical rating and the results are documented.
  • Inspection & Identification: Each wire rope sling is inspected, certified, and supplied with a metal tag displaying capacity, care, and operating information.
  • Crosby® Hardware: Domestic slings use quality Crosby® components for dependable lifting performance.
