Domestic Crosby® Wire Rope Slings

Fasteners Plus domestic wire rope slings are made in the USA and use Crosby® hardware for dependable lifting performance. These slings are a strong choice for contractors and industrial users who require domestic sourcing, traceable components, and compliance with recognized lifting standards.

Wire Rope Construction

Domestic wire rope slings are generally manufactured in either 6x19 or 6x36 class EIPS IWRC wire rope, depending on diameter. Slings 1" in diameter and smaller typically use 6x19 construction, while larger diameters generally use 6x36.

• EIPS Bright Steel: Extra Improved Plowed Steel provides high tensile strength, while the lubricant coating offers basic corrosion protection.
• IWRC Core: An Independent Wire Rope Core adds strength and resistance to crushing.
• Flemish Eye Splice: Provides an efficient, durable eye termination secured with a carbon steel sleeve.
• Metal Identification Tag: Displays sling size, manufacturer identification, and rated capacities by hitch type and angle.
• Compliance: Meets or exceeds applicable ASME B30.9 and OSHA 1910.184 requirements.
• Domestic Identification: Includes a color strand marker for quick identification as domestic wire rope.

How to Measure Sling Length

For a single-leg sling, measure from the load-bearing point of one eye or fitting to the load-bearing point at the opposite end.

For multi-leg bridles, measure each sling leg from the load-bearing point of the oblong master link to the load-bearing point of the lower hook or eye. Do not include the full length of the master link.

Proof Testing

Proof-test certificates are available upon request and should be specified when ordering. For certified orders, each sling is factory pull tested to 2x its vertical rating and the results are documented.
