Domestic 3/4" 6x37 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC
Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 3/4" bright wire rope features a 6x36 construction engineered for superior flexibility and fatigue resistance. Combined with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it delivers exceptional load stability and crush resistance, making it an excellent choice for demanding hoisting, winching, suspension, and structural rigging applications.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.
USA-Made Flexible Wire Rope for Hoisting, Winching & Rigging
The 6x37 class construction is designed for applications that involve frequent bending and movement. Compared to 6x19 wire rope, it provides greater flexibility and improved fatigue resistance, helping extend service life in high-cycle operations. The bright steel finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that reduces internal friction, minimizes wear, and provides basic protection against moisture and corrosion. Built to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 requirements, this rope delivers dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope, offering approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope and improving overall break strength.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope: the number of outer strands surrounding the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each strand. For a 6x37 class rope, there are 6 outer strands with approximately 27-49 wires per strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36.
