Domestic 9/16" 6x37 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC
Manufactured in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 9/16" bright wire rope is engineered for applications that demand exceptional flexibility and fatigue resistance. Featuring a 6x36 construction and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), this cable is designed to perform reliably in hoisting, winching, suspension, and other dynamic lifting systems where repeated bending occurs.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes. These color variations do not affect assembly break strength or overall performance.
USA-Made Flexible Wire Rope for Winching, Suspension & Dynamic Lifting
The 6x37 class is preferred for applications requiring frequent movement around sheaves, drums, and pulleys. Its 6x36 construction provides greater flexibility and improved fatigue resistance than 6x19 wire rope, helping extend service life in repetitive bending applications. While it sacrifices some abrasion resistance compared to 6x19 constructions, it excels in dynamic operating environments.
The bright finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that helps reduce internal friction, minimize wear, and provide basic protection against moisture exposure.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved breaking strength and dependable load-carrying performance.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36. If you require a different construction, please contact our team.
