Description

Domestic 5/16" 6x19 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC

Made in the USA from high-strength Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 5/16" bright wire rope delivers dependable performance for lifting, rigging, and winching applications. Built in the 6x19 class with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it offers an excellent balance of abrasion resistance, strength, and flexibility for demanding industrial environments.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes. These color variations do not affect assembly break strength or overall performance.

Industrial Wire Cable for Lifting, Rigging & Winching

The 6x19 class is a trusted choice for general-purpose wire rope applications where durability and wear resistance are critical. Its bright steel finish is lubricated with a petroleum-based compound that helps reduce internal friction while providing basic moisture protection. Combined with EIPS-grade steel and an IWRC design, this rope is built to withstand heavy loads and challenging operating conditions while meeting RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 performance standards.

6x19 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and longer service life under demanding conditions.

The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands with approximately 15-26 wires within each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x26, providing an ideal balance of abrasion resistance and flexibility.

Key Features
