Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 7/8" bright wire rope is engineered for demanding lifting, rigging, and material handling applications. Featuring a 6x26 construction within the 6x19 class and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it delivers excellent abrasion resistance, dependable strength, and long service life in tough industrial environments.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes. These color variations do not affect assembly break strength or overall performance.
USA-Made Wire Rope for Hoisting, Rigging & Winch Applications
The 6x19 class is widely trusted for its ability to withstand abrasion while maintaining practical flexibility for everyday lifting and rigging operations. The 6x26 construction provides a strong balance between durability and handling characteristics, making it an excellent choice for winch lines, hoisting systems, suspension applications, and structural support projects.
A bright steel finish combined with petroleum-based lubrication helps reduce internal friction and wear while providing basic protection against moisture exposure.
6x19 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in increased breaking strength and dependable performance under heavy loads.
The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 15-26 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x26, offering an excellent combination of abrasion resistance and flexibility.
Bright Finish & IWRC Construction
This wire rope features a bright steel finish protected with petroleum-based lubricant applied throughout the rope. The lubrication helps reduce internal wire friction, minimizes wear, and provides basic moisture resistance during operation.
The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) delivers increased structural support compared to fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction improves crushing resistance, maintains rope shape under load, and enhances overall durability in demanding applications.
