The 6x37 class is known for its superior flexibility and fatigue resistance compared to 6x19 wire rope. Its construction allows the rope to bend repeatedly over sheaves and drums while maintaining strength and performance. While it offers slightly less abrasion resistance than a 6x19 rope, it is often preferred for applications involving continuous movement and dynamic loading.
Type 304 stainless steel provides greater corrosion resistance than galvanized wire rope while maintaining higher strength than Type 316 stainless steel. This makes it a cost-effective choice for most environments where rust protection is important but full marine-grade corrosion resistance is not required.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
This wire rope is manufactured from Type 304 stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. It is commonly selected for outdoor, washdown, and moisture-prone environments where carbon steel wire rope may be susceptible to rust.

These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36, which falls within the 6x37 classification and provides the flexibility and fatigue resistance this rope class is known for.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides greater support than fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction increases crushing resistance, improves load stability, and helps maintain rope shape under demanding operating conditions.

Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.
Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.
Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
