How the Retraction Works

A spring-loaded drum inside the housing keeps light tension on the cable. It extends as the worker moves away from the anchor and pulls back in as they return, which reduces slack and trip hazards. If a fall occurs, the brake engages and holds the user until rescue. Because the user is suspended afterward, build rescue planning into your system, including rescue and descent equipment.
